Nice cycling kit, temperature ranges, and a little low-key trash talking

photo of Maap Pro bib shorts

Maap is definitely one of my favorite brands. Their shorts are some of the best I’ve owned, and have held up really well over the years. I have two pair of their ‘Pro’ bibs—in black and navy. The Pros are a bit lighter fabric than the training bibs, but are really well tailored to the riding position and are super comfortable for anything from a hard club ride to a 7-hour brevet.

An interesting note on the fabric: it almost feels a bit smoother and denser than some other shorts I own. Almost like an abrasion-resistant feel, which seems appropriate as these are their more ‘race-oriented’ offering. Not super light-weight, but definitely lighter and cooler than their Team or Training lines. All in all, a really solid set of bibs.
